Tribute to the missing sailors and fishermen.

With its maritime identity, our territory supports many traditions that are important to the inhabitants. The fishermen's festival is one of them.

The patron saint of sailors and fishermen, is celebrated in different cities of the Thau Archipelago. A moment to pay tribute to the men who disappeared at sea. During this celebration a mass precedes the parade. Children and adults dressed in traditional clothes, parade through the streets to reach the boats and take to sail away. The flowers are then thrown into the pond or into the sea. At nightfall the patron saint boat is burned.

The activities continue in the evening. A traditional celebration not to be missed.
